1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using "Becoming", you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease using the Service.

2. Description of Service

Becoming is a self-improvement app that helps you create AI-assisted journeys, complete daily lessons, quizzes, and tasks, upload proof photos, and keep a record of your progress and memories.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information.
• Maintain the security of your account credentials.
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

We use Clerk for authentication management. By creating an account, you also agree to comply with any applicable third-party terms needed to sign in and use the Service.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Becoming offers auto-renewable subscriptions that unlock additional access within the app, such as continuing beyond the free journey limit and accessing more complete journey progression.

Billing: Payments are processed through the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). You agree to their respective terms and conditions regarding billing, renewals, and cancellations.

Cancellations: You may cancel your subscription at any time via your device's App Store settings. Refunds are subject to the policies of Apple or Google.

Account deletion: Deleting your Becoming account does not automatically cancel a platform-managed subscription. You must cancel through Apple or Google if you do not want future renewals.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the app.
• Upload content that infringes another person's rights.
• Upload abusive, unlawful, or harmful material.
• Interfere with the app, its security, or its backend services.
• Misuse AI-generated content or rely on it as professional advice.

6. AI-Generated Content

Some journeys, plans, and lesson content are generated with third-party AI services. We do not guarantee:

• The accuracy or appropriateness of AI responses.
• That AI-generated content will be complete or error-free.
• The availability or quality of AI services.

The Service is not medical, mental health, legal, financial, or other professional advice, and you should not treat it as such.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Service, including journey inputs and uploaded photos.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display that content solely as needed to operate and improve the Service for you.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and all content provided by us other than user-submitted content, is owned by Becoming or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, "Becoming" and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
