Data Deletion

Last updated: March 26, 2026

At "Becoming", you have the right to request the deletion of your account and the personal data associated with it. This page explains how the deletion process works for the Becoming app.

Option 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)

The fastest way to delete your account and data is directly through the "Becoming" mobile application:

  1. Open the "Becoming" app.
  2. Navigate to your Profile tab.
  3. Tap on Settings (gear icon).
  4. Scroll down to the "Account Actions" section.
  5. Tap Delete Account.
  6. Confirm your choice. Your data will be immediately scheduled for deletion.

Deletion starts from the app, but permanent removal is completed after our 30-day retention window described below.

Option 2: Email Request

If you cannot access the app, you may request data deletion by email:

  1. Send an email to support@becomingapp.site.
  2. Use the subject line: Data Deletion Request.
  3. Please send the email from the same address associated with your "Becoming" account so we can verify ownership.
  4. We will process your request and confirm once deletion has been completed.

What Data is Deleted?

  • Your account profile and stored preferences.
  • Your journeys, journey-day records, and progress history.
  • Your uploaded proof photos and memories stored in our backend.
  • Your backend subscription record associated with the app.

Note: If you have an active subscription managed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store, deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription. You must manage your subscriptions through your device settings.

What May Be Retained

Deletion requests are handled in two stages. First, your account is marked for deletion. During the next 30 days, signing back in may reactivate the account. Once that retention window ends, we permanently remove the account data described above.

We may retain limited information for legal or operational purposes:

  • Billing or transaction records where required by law
  • Records needed to document or process the deletion request
  • Limited information needed for security, fraud prevention, or dispute handling
